The unique educational and developmental needs of adolescents form the foundation of the Middle School program. As students face new expectations and work to develop their identities, teaching strategies support individual growth while recognising the importance of cooperative learning and group belonging.
Recognising that early adolescence is a period of significant physical and emotional change, Siate helps students build confidence and develop independence by providing a supportive and caring learning environment. Multidisciplinary experiences, hands-on, student-directed activities, and first-hand engagement with primary sources encourage active and enthusiastic participation.
As students mature, they assume greater responsibility. Teachers and students work together in an atmosphere of respect and sensitivity towards others, experiencing the joy of discovering, learning, and knowing.
