What Makes Us Unique
The minute you walk in, you will realize how unique Siate Felici really is. Love and Happiness is in the air and you can feel it instantly.
At Siate Felici, every inch of the campus has been designed with the Reggio Emilia-Inspired Kindergarten approach in mind. We believe in the importance of the environment and that children can best create meaning and make sense of their world through environments which support complex, varied, sustained and changing relationships between people and the many ways of expressing ideas.
We are privileged to have our very own dedicated arts studio called the “Atelier” that is an always-evolving space that both reflects and inspires children’s imaginations. In the Atelier, our focus is on the process, rather than the product. As children build a connection with this space, they see the atelier as a resource; to launch their ideas through collaboration, and as a place to further deepen investigations that may have begun in their classrooms or the great outdoors.
There is so much to learn outside! That’s why we call the playground our Outdoor Classroom. The landscape is designed to create many kinds of learning and play experiences. Children have opportunities to engage in play that incorporates all areas of development: math, science, art, reading and writing, dramatic play, sensory exploration, practice with social skills, as well as whole body play, such as climbing, running and jumping.
Caring for the nature is a central theme both outside and indoors. Our garden beds give the children hands-on experience in understanding how our food and flowers grow.
Scientific studies show that preschoolers’ minds are stimulated in 30-minute intervals. Because of this, we've designed our classroom rotation program to fit the child's natural inclinations. A typical day for the child at Siate Felici will start off in his/her primary classroom with his/her primary teacher. Throughout the day, the child will rotate to many new learning spaces.
